I decided to try this anyway since it automatically switches from 100V to 220V with a European plug adapter. No need to buy a different charger or a voltage converter when you travel, and it just might work on my face. Boy was I surprised. Not only did it work well, but it felt great after I shaved. I believe it is a true step-up for a blade shaver. The lotion not only makes my face feel great, but nicks and scrapes, or minor outbreaks on my face seem to disappear quickly with the lotion.
